Walk - London - The Splendour of the City - 24th October 2018

A walk on 24th October 2018 organised by Hilary Thomas and led by Bob Ayers. We all met up at Waterloo Station and then caught 'The Drain' to Bank. Commencing with the Bank of England and the Royal Exchange, we walked to Guildhall via Mansion House and several of the Livery Halls. We visited the Great Hall and had an explanation of the significance of the London Companies. Passing several more Livery Companies we stopped for lunch at a pub between St Paul's and the River. Afterwards we continued our stroll around the Livery Companies and Churches before catching a bus back to Waterloo from Fleet Street.
