A walk on 21st November led by Alan Sandell. We started at the Car Park of The Plough pub in Effingham. On a nice sunny but cold day the walk took us through the varied woodland of Great Rodings Wood, through several open fields (many with horses in them), across Effingham Common and past some lakes, which had a lot of noisy duck on them. It was a mainly level walk but there were a couple of gentle uphill slopes. There were three half stiles (one low bar only) and only two kissing gates. The walk was mainly on footpaths and tracks, but there was a short walk along the pavement of a fairly busy road and a few short stretches along quiet roads. Finally we walked through Effingham Church grounds back to the pub.
There are more pictures of the walk on the Effingham Walk page on the Sandell's web site.
