Woking Leisure Centre 50+ Club

A walk on 23rd October 2019 along the River Thames in London. The pictures were supplied by Maureen Ward and by Hilary Thomas, the trip organiser. The trip started at Waterloo where the Guide, Bob Ayers, met the group. From Waterloo, the walk went along the South Bank as far as Southwark Bridge taking in the views of the city skyline and other places of note including The Globe Theatre. Lunch was taken across Southwark Bridge in The Centre Page pub. The walk then continued on the north side of the Thames as far as Tower Bridge, again stopping on the way at points of interest, such as the Queenhithe mosaic showing the history of London.
