Woking Leisure Centre 50+ Club

Various photographs taken on the Woking 50 Plus Walk on 21st August led by Alan Sandell. The walk on that day was originally planned to be organised and led by Hilary Thomas, but she has had back trouble and felt unable to organise a walk. We started in the Pirbright Village Green car park, on Avenue De Cagny, off the A324 Guildford Road at the northern end of Pirbright Green. We walked mainly on footpaths and tracks across Pirbright Common, through wooded areas, across farmland with some good views and along the Basingstoke Canal, where we stopped for coffee. There was some walking along minor roads and we crossed fairly busy roads several times. There were many gates but no stiles. It was a fairly level walk on bright morning. Unfortunatley it was curtailed because Alan started sufferring badly with his back.
