Walk - Tilford & Hankley Common - 20th January 2016

A walk around Tilford on 20th January 2016 led by Ian and Terry Wilson. The walk started at the car park on the large village green at Tilford and a pleasant track soon reached Stockbridge Pond and the surrounding woodland. It then went through pine stands onto the open heath of Hankley Common below Yagden Hill and across Hankley Golf Course to a coffee stop, before joining a quiet road and heading back past timberyards and through Tilford Common. Finally it followed the bank of the River Wey through a bluebell wood and back to the village green. Most of this route was sandy and reasonably dry.
