A walk on 4th November led by Alan Sandell. This walk was originally planned for 18th November but was rescheduled on 2nd November because of the Covid-19 lockdown rules. We started in the Pirbright Village Green car park, on Avenue De Cagny, off the A324 Guildford Road at the northern end of Pirbright Green. We walked mainly on footpaths and tracks across Pirbright Common, through wooded areas, across farmland with some good views and along the Basingstoke Canal, where we stopped for coffee. There is some walking along minor roads and we crossed fairly busy roads eight times. There were 16 gates but no stiles. It was a fairly level walk with one slight hill and it was a lovely sunny, but cold, morning.
There are pictures of the walk, together with description of the sights, on the Pirbright Walk Page on the Sandell's web site.
