A walk on 16th December led by Alan Sandell. The walk on that day was originally planned for Bushy Park but was relocated because Bushy Park became part of Tier 3 of the Covid-19 rules. It was a repeat of the walk on 4th November. We started in the Pirbright Village Green car park, on Avenue De Cagny, off the A324 Guildford Road at the northern end of Pirbright Green. We walked mainly on footpaths and tracks across Pirbright Common, through wooded areas, across farmland with some good views and along the Basingstoke Canal, where we stopped for coffee. There was some walking along minor roads and we crossed fairly busy roads eight times. There were 17 gates but no stiles. It was a fairly level walk with one slight hill on an overcast morning with some slight rainfall near the end.
There are pictures of the walk, together with description of the sights, on the Pirbright Walk Page on the Sandell's web site.
